Spring is at its absolute best in Cobb County and Metro Atlanta this weekend, and the community has shown up with a packed calendar to prove it. From one of the area's longest-running food festivals to an immersive arts experience blooming right in Kennesaw, there is something wonderful waiting for your family no matter how you like to spend a Sunday.
This is the big one for Cobb County food lovers. The 31st annual Taste of Marietta takes over the entire Historic Marietta Square and Glover Park on Sunday, transforming it into a showcase of over 50 local restaurants and caterers with bites ranging from $2 to $10. Live music runs all day across multiple stages, including a sunset concert on the Main Stage in Glover Park. Families will love the Kids Alley featuring games and inflatables, and food enthusiasts can watch celebrity chefs in action at the Publix Chef Spotlight Stage, which kicks off with a Kids Cooking Contest for ages 9 to 13. The Georgia Grown Member Village adds a chance to sample and shop products made right here in Georgia. Admission is free and the event runs rain or shine.
Learn More →Running throughout April and May, Art Blooms 2026 transforms Smith-Gilbert Gardens and public spaces across Kennesaw into a citywide celebration of art and nature themed around Inherent Resilience: Healing Through Art and Nature. This Saturday is a special highlight, featuring the Art Hatch: Spring Arts Festival with live music, KSU theater performances, visual artist demonstrations, arts and crafts, and a scavenger hunt throughout the gardens. The immersive theater production, "The Beauty Project: Through the Looking Glass," was co-created with Marietta students and takes families on a winding journey through the garden paths encountering reimagined storybook characters. Ticket purchase for the Saturday KSU theater performance includes full access to all Art Hatch festival activities. Garden members receive free admission. A community scavenger hunt is also ongoing through the end of May with prizes from local businesses.
Learn More →Start your Saturday morning the right way with a stroll through the Marietta Square Farmers Market. This beloved open-air market runs every Saturday year-round and brings together local and heirloom produce, artisanal goods, baked goods, plants, fresh flowers, and prepared foods from vendors all across Georgia. The Marietta Square Artisan Market runs right alongside it through 1 PM as well, offering handmade crafts and one-of-a-kind finds. It is a perfect low-key family morning before heading over to Art Blooms or gearing up for Sunday's Taste of Marietta.
Learn More →Right on Marietta Square and steps from the Farmers Market, the Marietta Cobb Museum of Art is always worth a visit. Rotating fine art exhibitions feature regional and national artists inside a stunning historic building. It is a wonderful way to spend a quiet hour with the family, and the Square setting makes it easy to pair with lunch at one of the many nearby restaurants.
